Great June and Fall pattern..
The Mikulak Sedge is my favorite DRY fly. Sedges start appearing on the lakes and rivers in late spring. They are responsible for many feeding frenzies by trout. The Mikulak keeps on producing even when it gets beat up. Fish it with a twitch, short pulls or even a slow swim. Trout will come from afar to grab this worthwhile meal.
The Sedge is easy to see in rivers and lakes. The brown hackle in the front is intentionally short to enable the flies to swim, spin and sit in the water like the natural.
This fly will produce until there is almost nothing left of it.
