‘ Old Reliable”, the Doc is one of the most effective nymph patterns in the Pacific Northwest. Especially valuable in lakes it can represent a caddis, damsel or dragon fly nymph. Some old-timers still swear it can also represent a leech or immature chironomid . The silver tinsel and peacock herl are great trout attractors. The black and olive colosr are the most versatile and popular. Red is a much sought after color. Sizes # 10 and 12 are ‘must have ‘ sizes.
